<Beyond the layer>, single channel video, 3:46

The Project “Beyond the Layer” aimed to explore self-inner side. Such exploring was based on the material subject in a real space, and the conceptual space independent of the real space created by human mind. The project outcomes attempted to convey hopeful messages by means of paintings, digital media, and still images. The general characteristics of the project reflect abstractive expressions as in children’s literature and of not having regular patterns. The process of experiences were recorded to highlight the expansion of fairy tale as an object onto a plane surface space and a 3-diensional solid space. Building to our lives is a large picture book of a 3-dimensional solid space. The balcony of apartments was used as the medium for one to encounter him/herself.
